CES and Thunderbolt
At CES, a large number of companies were introducing their Thunderbolt devices. As with previous innovative interface technology that Apple pioneered, the equipment was a bit slow to appear, but 2012 seems to be the year of Thunderbolt.

Review: Mail Archiver X
NEW Archiving mail can be easy: you just store your ‘mboxes’ — which you find in your personal Library folder — somewhere offline, and you’re done. But if you archive them that way, you’ll also lose the ability to view messages and reply to them unless you re-import the messages of at least the mbox you’re interested in into Mail, and that can be a problem. If you have a lot of messages, you’ll bog down Mail and will have to remove those messages again afterwards. In one word: it’s not efficient. Mail archiving applications are the answer to the problem.

Review: Mac OS X 10.7, aka “Lion”
Lion is not an evolution of Mac OS X as we know it. It is a new user experience and as such it won’t appeal to all people. It’s also been totally revamped under the hood, and that doesn’t please developers. Lion may be a pain to some, but it’s hard to deny its leaps forward in design, efficiency, and productivity.
